Information Services which are free to private patientsWe provide certain services to private patients free of charge—for example, maternity and infant welfare services, immunization and vaccination services and CervicalCheck (national cervical screening programme). There are certain terms and conditions of these schemes. If unsure, please ask reception when booking your appointment. General Medical CardThis card entitles you to most medical treatment and prescription free. Doctor Visit CardThis card entitles you to Doctor Visit Only, you will have to pay for your prescriptions from the pharmacy. See next pages for details on Doctors and General Medical Cards. Doctors ServicesWe offer the full range of services normally found in primary care. All of our doctors have a range of interests and experience to encompass most aspect of patient’s needs. These include Women’s Health, Diabetic Clinic, Heartwatch-Structured care programme for patients with established heart disease, Ultrasound Service, Vaccines etc. Nursing Services

Repeat Prescriptions
If you require a repeat prescription, please call the surgery in the afternoon. Your prescription will normally be available the following afternoon. Prescriptions will only be given to the named patient, unless by prior agreement.
Home Visit
If you are too ill to visit the surgery and you require a home visit, please contact the surgery, phone 4166011 before 10am, if possible.
The doctor on call will talk to you to discuss the home visit.
Doctors Fees
Travel Vaccine Costs depends on vaccine schedule Nurse FeesNurse Consultation is €25,an additional fee of €15 may be applicable for certain treatments (Ear Syringe, Wart removal, etc) We are happy to discuss level of fee in any individual case and in no circumstance would wish patients to miss out on essential treatment because of the cost of service. Fees should normally be settled on day of your consultation unless by prior agreement with doctor. |
